The District “Teaching with Technology” Summer Institute was an exciting faculty training opportunity.  This year the Institute showcased ANGEL (A New Global Environment for Learning), the latest in learning management systems and the only one now used in the District.  In addition, Elluminate training was offered. Elluminate Live! is an online collaborative application that enables instructors and students to interact in real time.

ANGEL can be used for all types of courses: on-line, hybrid and on-campus.  Extensive "hands-on" training was provided by instructors and peer mentors on the features and tools of ANGEL as well as course design and sound pedagogical practices for use of educational technologies.
